Karen has over 14 years of experience working in elementary, secondary and post-secondary education.  She is currently an Assistant Division Chair and full-time instructor at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  In addition to instruction, she works regularly on curriculum and program development.  Recent accomplishments include developing and implementing a Landscape Technology program at North Idaho College.

Karen has an Education Specialist degree in Higher Education Leadership, a Masters degree in Professional-Technical Education, and a Bachelors degree in Art Education.  In addition, she recently completed a three-year Leadership Institute and is currently an Associate Professor for the University of Idaho teaching Integration Methods to teacher educators.

Over the past few years, Karen has taken an interest in online education taking several courses in online education methodology and curriculum development.  Her current teaching assignment includes courses in employee relations and she has recently developed several online courses in employee relations, job readiness, job search and customer service.
